The design of this water collector stems from the understanding that water is our most precious resource. The thoughtfully designed kitchen accessory captures water that would typically go to waste during everyday tasks like washing fruit and vegetables. By making this otherwise lost water visible and usable, it highlights how much we can conserve. Combining a funnel, sieve, bowl, and watering can, the collector is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional, seamlessly fitting into any modern kitchen. Its construction – mainly from recycled glass and stainless steel – underscores its commitment to sustainability and durability. JURY STATEMENT
The water collector offers an attractive solution to an issue that is often overlooked. The small splashes of water used in the kitchen might seem negligible on their own. But together, they represent a surprising amount of fresh wastewater that could easily be reused. The Savwa water collector encourages this reuse.
