The combination of gaming engines, photogrammetry and generative AI offers new ways to interactively communicate information, deliver presentations and provide virtual assistance. Here, the project developers have created a digital twin of the historical figure Joseph von Fraunhofer in the Benediktbeuern monastery. This project shows how a natural dialogue can be created with a virtual character, whether for a web application or within a physical space. Digital simulations can now recreate the specific facial features, voices, movements and interactions of both real and fictional actors with astonishing realism.
