One of the most important characteristics of CO2 lasers is that they permit extremely precise cutting, ablation and vaporisation of tissue. The heat of the laser simultaneously seals small blood vessels, nerve endings and lymphatic vessels, enabling delicate surgical procedures with minimal complications even in highly vascular areas. This new surgical laser has an intuitive interface with programme presets for a variety of medical procedures. In addition to the high beam quality and precise control of the laser itself, acoustic feedback and announcements increase safety in the operating theatre.
