PSI, Switzerland's largest research centre, is home to top scientists from around the globe, yet it remains largely unknown to the public. To boost its visibility, the centre has introduced a new visual identity centred around a dynamic logo: an animated, ever-changing cloud of particles. Inspired by PSI's research, which includes quantum technology and neutron scattering, the logo symbolises scientific complexity, change and knowledge gain. With a diverse colour palette, flexible layouts and a detailed visual language, the new brand identity seeks to make the centre's scientific excellence accessible and visible to all audiences, whether they're online or offline, at an event or visiting the centre.
JURY STATEMENT
This is a refreshing and engaging design for a scientific institution. The strategically developed concept flexibly meets all current requirements and can easily accommodate future expansion. And it works perfectly in both digital and print formats.
