You can never have enough storage options – and the Merveille displays items that would otherwise be hidden away in drawers, boxes or cupboards in a completely new way. This substantial, round container is made from quarter-sawn wood that has been glued and milled through a complex manufacturing process. It is large enough to hold cushions, blankets or a wide array of other household items. Available in oiled oak or stained walnut, its elegant materials give it an almost sculptural quality. A separate wooden base ensures the 'treasure chest' remains perfectly stable.
JURY STATEMENT
This interesting interpretation of a storage box is the result of many manual and mechanical processes. The distinctive surface texture develops a unique and beautiful aesthetic that is a reflection of its elaborate manufacturing process.
