With its clear-cut edges and distinctive use of different colours and materials, the design transfers the precision of the laser-based process within to the exterior of the compact system. The upper section of the machine’s front is made of ceramic-coated laser safety glass, the doors are opened by means of a capacitive switch. The absence of handles underscores the high-tech character of the system, which relies on a robot for the exact positioning of the blanks. The process is controlled via a separate, height-adjustable console that echoes the characteristics of the machine’s design.

Jury
A machine with an extremely uncluttered front on which alternating light and dark areas create a distinctly graphic effect. The kinks and oblique edges add up to independent design features and the control desk is clearly recognisable as part of the machine.
