HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
An eventful year at the Design Center Baden-Württemberg is coming to an end. But don’t worry: you’ll still be able to enjoy many of the highlights from 2021 in the year ahead. The Focus Open 2021 exhibition and soon also our anniversary exhibition 30 Years of the Baden-Württemberg International Design Award can be viewed on our website in the form of digital tours. And as we at the Design Center like to say, “The end of one Focus is the beginning of the next”: the call for entries for Focus Open 2022 opens in mid-January. Another highlight gets underway on 2 February with a series of talks on art and design that we’re presenting in cooperation with the Landesmuseum Württemberg and the state’s arts and crafts association BdK (Bund der Kunsthandwerker Baden-Württemberg).
Enjoy the holidays, have a great start to the new year and look forward to more award-winning design highlights from the Design Center Baden-Württemberg in 2022!
With all good wishes for the festive season,
The Design Center team

FOCUS OPEN 2022 – CALL FOR ENTRIES
Your innovation, your award
Never before has professional design been so important and so much a matter of course as it is today. The Baden-Württemberg state award Focus Open provides an annual and transparent roundup of what’s state of the art when it comes to design, innovation and sustainability. And in 2022, Focus Open will once again be rewarding new products, services and concepts for their innovativeness and design quality.
With Focus Open, startups, newcomers and founders have the same chances of winning an award for their exciting projects as established design agencies and companies do!
Win Gold, Silver, a Special Mention – or Meta – plus feedback from an independent jury and a publicity boost in the form of our yearbook, exhibition and online presentation.
The call for entries opens in mid-January and closes on 18 March 2022.
