Light from minimalist sources

Nyta is a small but sophisticated lighting label with an extremely reductive design language. Established in Karlsruhe in 2012, the company initially found success in Scandinavia. In our latest Design Story, general manager Johannes Müller reveals why – and explains the absence of plugs. Intrigued? Read more...

Young design firms in the spotlight!

The ENTDECKT! exhibition series shines a spotlight on young designers and all the different facets they represent and gives them the opportunity to present their portfolio or special, exceptional projects to a broad public. This Design Center programme aims to encourage and promote youngsters from all over Baden-Württemberg, regardless of which field they come from – product design, communication design, game design, fashion design, animation design, exhibition design, textile design etc. We’d actually intended to show these young talents to you at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart back in June, but then corona turned our plans on their head.

But now things are moving again! We’ve found new dates and will now be presenting these special works from 10 December 2020 until 25 January 2021. And to give you a taste of what to expect, we’ll be interviewing two of the protagonists every month from now on and introducing them to you in detail in the coming news bulletins. That way you’ll have got to know all the exhibitors by December.

The interviews will kick off with jewellery designer Christiane Köhne and the interior designers of STUDIO KOMO. You’ll find links to all the newcomers taking part in ENTDECKT! 2020 here.
