The desire to indulge in outdoor sports remains unabated. In addition to cycling, water-based leisure activities such as SUP, canoeing and recreational kayaking are booming – and always come with the problem of having to get both the equipment and its users back to the car, bus or train once the tour is over. Because it can be divided into two halves, this fabric boat puts an end to that dilemma. Weighing in at just 10 kilograms, each half can be carried, manoeuvred round corners and towed by a bicycle without any problem at all. The agile boat is a skin-on-frame construction. The hull consists of plywood made from regionally sourced wood, the covering is made of heavy canvas soaked in linseed oil varnish. The boat can be put together in next to no time, no tools required: two hinges and six simple screws ensure the two halves are securely connected.

An honest, understated design paired with very good craftsmanship. The boat stands out for its low weight and harmonious appearance. Despite its voluminous hull, it can be folded up ready to be towed by a bicycle in just a few simple moves – all of which adds up to the promise of a highly satisfying leisure experience.
