Miele is extending its portfolio of appliances for industrial use with these large-volume dryers. Despite different load capacities ranging between 10 and 44 kilograms, the machines are based on a consistent design principle that reduces forms to the minimum and lets the tool be a tool. The design team invested a great deal of energy in the user-centric and intuitive interface. The controls come in four different variants – three with a dial and one with SensorTouch technology – that enable the user to access the key functions directly. Available with a stainless steel or iron grey housing, the appliances are not only extremely durable, their future recyclability has been factored into the design as well.
JURY
A machine that owes the clarity of its design to its pure, geometric form. The dryers don’t make any more of themselves than their function requires. Their simple grey appearance is interrupted only in crucial places, by features such as the emergency stop button, the display and the yellow strip that accentuates the door opener.
