Systematic working is a must for professionals – especially in the construction sector, and including when it comes to anchoring fixings in concrete and masonry frames with the aid of plugs. However, the makeup of such frames can vary considerably – and the plug needs to be selected accordingly. To avoid the number of different plugs that construction firms have to keep in stock spiralling out of control, the manufacturer develops products that are equally suitable for several types of substrate. Thanks to its special lamella geometry, for instance, the new DuoXpand can be used for both solid and hollow masonry; in the latter case, the plug expands behind the web and anchors itself with undercuts. Recognisable by its red colour, the expanding element is designed for two anchorage depths, making the plug even more universal. Available in lengths up to 230 millimetres, the plugs are supplied with a pre-mounted screw for time-saving installation.
